Working with young people to create our Children's Mental Health Week 2025 campaign

We create content through the year on mental health issues. Shared on social media, with schools and colleges, with GPs and pharmacists and with local support services, this content is intended to help and support anyone struggling with their mental wellbeing.

This week is Children's Mental Health Week in the UK. The theme set by the charity Place2Be is 'Know Yourself, Grow Yourself'.

In support of both the charity and the theme - and to underline the importance in helping to raise awareness of children's mental health - we developed youth-inspired content for our social channels, for schools and for service users on our platform.

Here are some highlights:

Collaborating with students

The Kooth team created this powerful video for social media with school students at a secondary school.

It's aim was to increase self-awareness and self-knowledge by asking students to answer the question: who am I?

Support via socials

This video shows the campaign poster we created in action, designed to highlight qualities we all have and that we see in others. The poster is available for schools and colleges to print and display - and for young people to rip!

Know yourself to grow yourself

This was a special video we created after meeting a freestyle poet who had set himself up in London to write poems for strangers. After hearing about Kooth's work and the campaign, he wrote a poem called 'Know yourself to grow yourself', which we shared with our social followers.

Engaging face-to-face with the community

Our on-the-ground engagement professionals are based right across the UK.

They have a critical role in embedding our services into communities, delivering assemblies, sharing resources and supporting the wider community.

This month, the team is delivering 'Know Yourself, Grow Yourself' assemblies and webinars to support young people - as well as sharing posters and worksheets with schools.

See our 'Resources' section at the top of the page to find out more.

Therapeutic resources

Kooth and Qwell offer service users access to a vast library of therapeutic resources including articles, podcasts and videos.

This month, we have created several helpful resources, including articles encouraging young people to get to know themselves and on the issue of self diagnosis. To see examples of these pieces, we have re-created a selection outside the platform - view and download them here.
