Earlier support, better outcomes

Introducing Soluna by Kooth

Kooth’s digital mental health platform for children and young people is evolving. Soluna by Kooth combines our trusted clinical model with a modern, highly engaging experience young people actively choose to use.

By building on a quarter-century of NHS and Local Authority partnerships, Soluna empowers local systems to move upstream, delivering accessible, scalable, and preventative mental health support right when it's needed most.

Designed alongside youth, the platform features enhanced interactive activities, pre-moderated peer support and one-to-one text chat with mental health professionals that young people can schedule themselves.

Built for today's youth

Soluna by Kooth has been developed alongside UK and US youth - and designed around how young people seek support today.

As one young person put it: "I’ve had at least 20 (probably) mental health apps and I haven’t seen a single one like this. This is like, next level.”

Soluna shown to reduce psychological distress

In the UK, our evidence base has long proved the efficacy of our services.

Independent research in the US - where Soluna is already available - is building on this strong foundation.

A recent study by the Northwestern University Lab for Scalable Mental Health found significant reductions in anxiety, depression, loneliness, hopelessness, and suicidal ideation among youth finding support with Soluna.

Safety and clinical governance

In a landscape where some young people are using unregulated AI tools and social media for support, Soluna offers something categorically different.

It is clinically governed, human-led, and built around the safeguarding and clinical standards expected across the NHS and wider health system. Every interaction is moderated by trained practitioners with structured clinical oversight, and direct connections to resources, giving young people a safe alternative to the unmoderated platforms that currently fill the gap.

Our one-to-one support is accredited by the BACP and our therapeutic content has earned the PIF TICK kite mark, showing it is evidence-based and easy to understand.

Delivering neighbourhood mental health

Soluna supports the shift towards neighbourhood-based care by providing accessible mental health support before needs escalate.

Working alongside local services, it expands capacity, improves access for children and young people, and strengthens community-based support, helping systems address unmet need and intervene earlier.

By extending support beyond traditional service settings, Soluna helps systems reach more young people earlier, improving access to timely support and reducing demand for more intensive interventions.
