Kooth collaborates with York-based charity ‘The Little Push 4 Good’

New collaboration helps adults receiving mental health support

This mental health awareness week, Kooth Digital Health, the UK’s leading digital mental health platform, is pleased to announce a new two-year collaboration with The Little Push 4 Good, a York-based charity helping people improve their mental wellbeing through access to physical and creative activity.

Through this collaboration, Kooth will co-sponsor support for adults accessing NHS Talking Therapies mental health services, enabling more people to benefit from The Little Push 4 Good’s wide-ranging grant programmes. These grants help fund participation in physical activity, music, arts, photography and learning — all shown to play an important role in recovery and long-term mental wellbeing.

Kooth’s mental health support service for adults, Qwell, is free and immediately available for anyone aged 18 and over in the Vale of York area. Commissioned by Humber North Yorkshire NHS ICB, Qwell will also be offered to those being supported by Little Push 4 Good.

The Little Push 4 Good works closely with NHS Talking Therapies to identify individuals who could benefit most from supported access to enriching and confidence-building experiences. The charity’s work aligns closely with Kooth’s commitment to accessible, whole-person mental health care.

The Little Push 4 Good founder James Turton explains why the Kooth collaboration is so valuable

Dr Lynne Green, Kooth’s chief clinical officer, said: “The Little Push 4 Good is doing amazing work in promoting the power of physical activity and creativity in helping to address mental health issues.

"This partnership will allow us to help support this programme, while also offering people immediate and ongoing access to digital mental health support through Qwell. This mental health awareness week, we’re celebrating being part of The Little Push 4 Good and doing our bit to support the charity’s great work.”

James Turton, founder of The Little Push 4 Good, added: “We are delighted to have agreed a collaboration with Kooth. We aim to activate the NHS’s “five ways to mental wellbeing” through enabling access to physical activity, art, music and learning, which is complimentary to the digital support Kooth provides.

"Community is the theme of this year's mental health week and this seems to me a perfect demonstration of how organisations and the charity sector can work together for the benefit of everyone.”

Kooth’s sponsorship will help support individuals aged 18-30 referred through NHS Talking Therapy services, with a focus on enabling access to activities that can reduce isolation, build self-esteem, and enhance overall mental health. The partnership is also part of Kooth’s wider commitment to working alongside community-based organisations to ensure mental health support is responsive, inclusive and rooted in real-world impact.
